What is Nordic Fitness?
It's a well known fact that some of the toughest athletes on the planet are the cross-country skiers. Nordic Fitness is the training that is based around cross country skiing/roller skiing. It includes snow skiing, roller skiing and the specific strength training aimed at improving the overall performance on skis. As seen from the chart below, which was taken from the University of Montana's research paper, XC skiing (i.e. cross country skiing) is the ultimate aerobic exercise. Now, the good news, you don't have to live in the northern states in order to enjoy the fun and excitement of skiing. You can roller ski!!!
